David Nichols, Executive Director, DVMS Institute
Dave spent his “formative years” on US Navy submarines, learning about complex systems, functioning in high-performance teams, and what it takes to be an exceptional leader. He took these skills into civilian life and built a successful career leading high-performance software development and information service delivery teams. Later, Dave after forming a company, led a team to develop developed accredited ITIL 2, ITIL 3, and ITIL 4 training programs.
Today, Dave is an executive director of the DVMS Institute and the co-author of the Create, Protect, and Deliver Digital Business Value book series (published by TSO). The first two books, Fundamentals of Adopting the NIST Cybersecurity Framework and A Practitioner’s Guide to Adapting the NIST Cybersecurity Framework, are available now. The third book, Thriving on the Edge of Chaos, a business book, will be published during the first quarter of 2024. The books focus on leadership, governance, assurance, and the cultural aspects of building a high-performing, resilient digital enterprise.
