Rachel Mulry, Associate CIO-Planning and Customer Service, SMU
Rachel Mulry is a dynamic and results-driven senior executive with over 25 years of experience in Higher Education. At the forefront of service management and project management, she serves as the Associate CIO for Planning and Customer Service at SMU, leading IT service and support teams, including Help Desk, AV, Desktop Support, Training, Client Management, and Communications, and the Project Management Office. Her teams consistently deliver top-tier service while continuously striving for improvement. Rachel actively serves on university committees to deliver process improvements, organizational efficiencies, and oversee major enterprise implementations. Her collaborative efforts touch all corners of the institution, from Facilities and Academic Affairs to Finance and Enrollment Services. Rachel is committed to personal growth and community building. She founded and directs the SMU Women’s group, fostering leadership and camaraderie among female staff and faculty. Her contributions have earned her numerous accolades, including the prestigious “M” award at SMU.
