Joe FugereIT Service Center and Experience DirectorUniversity of Alaska Anchorage

Joe Fugere is currently the IT Service Center and Experience Director at the University of Alaska Anchorage, where he oversees the IT Service Desk, Field Services and AV teams. Over the past several years, Joe has been leading efforts around Experience Management (XM) from an IT perspective. As part of this effort, he established an IT Experience Team that is committed to improving the Student and Employee Experience at UAA. By partnering with both the UAA Student Success and Employee Experience teams, the IT Experience Team has led these teams in building XLA’s and measuring the impact around new initiatives that help students and employees, as well as these departments, succeed. Joe is also a PMP-certified Project Manager and has spent 35 years of his career managing large teams and projects, both as a customer and a consultant. In his free time, Joe thoroughly enjoys fishing the Alaskan waters, as well as camping, hiking, and drumming.
