David Clifford, Director, West Monroe
David Clifford continues over 30 years of business program management, IT service management, IT strategy development, IT portfolio management, strategic sourcing, and IT operational experience, both domestically and internationally. He has led multi-national organizations through major change, not only at an IT level but also within the core business operations. He has led transformation programs for IT contracts valued up to $5bn.
He is a Director for West Monroe, a global digital transformation firm. Prior to joining West Monroe, David was a strategic sourcing advisor and strategist with Pace Harmon, a business transformation and outsourcing advisory services firm.
He was included in a small percentage of ITSM professionals who achieved distinction level in the most senior ITIL qualifications and was awarded the Fellow in Service Management (FSM) credential by itSMF International.
He has authored and contributed to several international publications in the ITSM field, including ITIL, SIAM and ISO/IEC 20000. David is often invited to speak at conferences around the world. He was awarded the rare O1 visa by the USCIS for “aliens of extraordinary ability” and now resides in Virginia.
WHERE DAVID MAKES AN IMPACT
David has contributed to the global IT Service Management industry through many lenses over the years, including;
- developing an international ITSM qualification program for an exam institute,
- contributing to the development of an auditing scheme for companies to become certified to the ITSM standard ISO/IEC 20000,
- acting as President for itSMF International’s ITSM professional credentialing program and
- acting as chair for a standards institute’s contribution to developing ISO/IEC 38500 on IT Governance plus, member of ISO/IEC 2000 (ITSM) and ISO/IEC 30105 (IT Enabled Services for BPO).
