Texas A&M’s Division of IT has struggled with populating the configuration management database (CMDB) with valid and useful data. In this session, Robert Cheyne will share how TAMU has created a service-aware environment, step by step, from setup and governance, to discovery and population, and to service mapping and event management. Participants will see real-life examples of TAMU’s CMDB, and they’ll walk away with ideas and recommendations they can use in their own environments.
